Janet Lechnir is President of Better Bookkeeping, LLC, a firm that specializes in providing QuickBooks accounting software installation, customization, training and support.Down-to-earth professionalism, accuracy, and attentiveness are just of the few of the traits that clients of Better Bookkeeping enjoy.

Janet's mission is to empower her clients with the knowledge and systems to effectively and efficiently manage their company's financial information.  Her goal is to make companies self-sufficient and not dependent on on-going support.  Her specialty is helping small businesses tailor QuickBooks to their unique needs, upgrading or conducting the conversion, setting up easy to follow procedures, and training staff to the new system.

An independent consultant, Better Bookkeeping services small to mid-size businesses throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.

A twenty-year veteran, Janet has in-depth experience in management accounting, bookkeeping, and consulting.  Prior to starting her own firm, she was a freelance computer consultant and spearheaded accounting computer conversions for dozens of companies including Pinnacle, Inc., a management consulting firm, and Merrill Associates, Inc., an advertising and public relations agency.  Before freelancing, Janet worked as a controller/accountant for several law firms including Hayt, Hayt & Landau; Sanders & McDermott, PA; and Flynn McGuirk & Blanchard.

Janet holds an Associate of Science Degree in Business Management from Northern Essex Community College and a Paralegal Certificate from the University of New Hampshire.
